Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, VT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor equipment in the Fab 9 200mm facility. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot with mechanical, electronic, and PC skills while coordinating with the Lead Tech and Engineers.

The role requires standing for long shifts in a cleanroom, lifting up to 50 pounds, and rotating days/weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent, with technical training preferred.
• Experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance, or military equivalents.
• Willingness to work alternating day/night shifts and in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in the assigned area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tool sets per procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using mechanical, electronic, and PC software skills.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech or Engineer; document events and pass downs.
