Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. in Essex Junction, Vermont, is seeking a CMP Maintenance Technician (N2 Night Shift) to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor equipment in a 24/7 fab environment.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturing readiness. The role requires a High School Diploma or technical training, basic electrical/mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in a cleanroom.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical—2-year technical degree, 2 years military, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Work in a safe and responsible manner per FAB8 EHS&S policies.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Communicate end-of-shift pass downs clearly.
