Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Essex Junction Fab 9 200mm facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment, partnering with production teams and area engineers. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and clear status updates to leads and engineers.

The role requires a high school diploma, plus technical training or equivalent experience, and the ability to work in a cleanroom with PPE. Night/alternate shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical degree or 4 years of related experience preferred.
• Military experience acceptable in lieu of formal degree.
• Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and schedule maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using electrical/mechanical skills.
• Document status and communicate updates to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Coordinate end-of-shift pass downs and ensure shift handoffs.
