Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to lead production supervision across shifts in Jonesboro, Maine. You will champion safety, drive lean initiatives, and ensure on-time delivery within budget while upholding quality standards per engineering drawings.

The role requires at least 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong leadership, and effective communication. A GED or high school diploma is required, with college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training in production leadership.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve goals with accountability.
• Proven safety culture understanding with active safety performance drive.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and policy enforcement skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance and promote a proactive safety-first culture.
• Provide leadership and development to Production Supervisors across shifts.
• Build leadership through mentoring, training, and succession planning.
• Set expectations for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Engagement.
• Coach supervisors in employee relations, attendance, performance, and actions.
• Lead lean initiatives and standard work across departments to meet targets.
• Coordinate staffing plans, line readiness, and start-ups for shifts.
• Drive RCCA actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with plant leadership to resolve safety, quality, and operational concerns.
