Job summary

Saint-Gobain's CertainTeed division seeks a Production Supervisor I to lead front-line manufacturing crews and drive safety, quality, and productivity on a 24/7 operation with a 2-2-3 cycle. You will coach, train, and develop hourly staff while ensuring compliance with EHS standards and procedures.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance, participate in hiring and onboarding, and manage time records and payroll in alignment with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership, supervisory, lead operator, or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, coaching employees, and driving performance results.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and commitment to a safe work environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise hourly production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Foster a strong safety culture by conducting shift meetings, enforcing EHS requirements, and ensuring compliance with policies.
• Set performance expectations, provide coaching and development opportunities, and support employee engagement.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing production team members.
• Ensure employees receive training and follow established procedures and work instructions.
• Investigate incidents and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean, 5S, TPM, and other programs.
• Maintain workplace organization and housekeeping standards.
• Review and approve employee time records and payroll in accordance with policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve productivity, quality, reliability, and plant performance.
