Job summary

Salm Partners, LLC is seeking a hands-on shift supervisor to lead operators in our USDA‑regulated food manufacturing facility. You will support staffing, supervise temporary workers, and ensure safe, efficient packaging, palletizing, and sanitation processes on the line.

You will collaborate with maintenance and QA to resolve equipment issues, monitor quality, and drive Lean initiatives while maintaining strict safety standards. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in USDA-regulated food manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Operator role in the company is normally required.
• Thorough understanding of QX extrusion system and cook-in-package process is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilitator with staffing needs and communicate to HR.
• Enter new temporary workers in hours tracking database and instruct on use.
• Greet temporary workers and communicate assigned job at shift start.
• Ensure safe and efficient production, monitor equipment setup and performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve production issues in packaging and boxing areas.
• Maintain sanitary production areas and ensure compliance with safety and food safety requirements.
• Provide backup support to production shift personnel and assist with Lean initiatives.
