Job summary

Salm Partners is seeking a production supervisor to oversee sleeving, stuffing, packaging, and palletizing processes while ensuring safety, quality, and USDA compliance. You will guide temporary staff, monitor equipment, and maintain sanitation standards across shifts.

The role requires leadership experience in a USDA-regulated food facility, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years' operator experience in the plant.
• Experience in USDA-regulated food manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Understanding of QX extrusion system and cook-in-package process strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilitator with identifying temporary worker staffing needs weekly.
• Enter new temporary workers in the hours tracking database.
• Greet temporary workers and communicate the assigned job at shift start.
• Assist Facilitator with pre-shift communication meetings.
• Facilitate production activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Verify correct set-up of equipment per Operational Parameters.
• Assist with operation and daily maintenance of equipment and adjust machines as needed.
• Confer with maintenance, operators and production partners to resolve equipment problems.
• Ensure supplies are available to meet the shift production schedule and record usage.
• Monitor product quality and hourly performance for waste and product quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems in packaging and boxing areas.
• Communicate information to/from Stuffing Room, QA and Expediting personnel.
• Keep management informed of equipment performance, product quality, safety concerns.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Salm Partners and USDA sanitation requirements.
