Job summary

Banner Health in Chandler, AZ is seeking an experienced RN to join the Women’s Services and Nursery team for a full-time night shift. You will assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to obstetric and newborn patients in a level II environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Successful candidates have current RN license, BLS, and prior L/D or postpartum experience; new grads considered with appropriate training.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in an acute care setting, especially Labor & Delivery or Postpartum, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and discharge needs.
• Formulate and implement a plan of care with input from patient/family and team.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise/coordinate activities of licensed staff.
• Document care plans, interventions and patient responses clearly and timely.
• Communicate status and needs to the physician and care team for continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
