Job summary

Banner Health's Women & Infants Services (WIS) at University Medical Center Phoenix seeks a night shift Registered Nurse (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) to join a Magnet-certified academic medical center. The unit oversees Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, and Postpartum with a focus on high-risk obstetric care and family-centered nursing.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in the clinical area is desired.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care and coordination with the health care team.
• Evaluates patient progress towards goals and the effectiveness of teaching.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
