Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Production Superintendent to oversee production/processing supervisors on a single night shift at our Georgia facility. You will direct operations, monitor quality, and ensure cost-efficient, on-time manufacturing of finished goods.

Responsibilities include scheduling, material requisition, equipment maintenance, and coaching the supervisor team to meet production goals. A background in USDA-regulated environments and strong communication are essential; HS diploma

Qualifications

• 2+ years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience in production
• 3-5 years of Supervisory training preferred
• Knowledge of USDA regulations
• Strong diplomacy and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Directs production operations and personnel to meet production and quality standards, control costs, and provide data on products produced.
• Establishes short-term activities for production continuity, shift schedules, material requisition, equipment maintenance.
• Coordinates with other plant areas to support output, productivity and quality.
• Selects, organizes, trains, and motivates production labor to meet schedules at optimum productivity and cost.
• Recommends improvements in production flow or methods.
• Ensures use of operating methods to eliminate problems and improve product quality.
• Counsels supervisors on job performance and efficiency.
• Recommends machine/equipment modifications to improve production and quality.
