Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Georgia is seeking a Safety and Health Specialist to lead the site's safety program, influence training, and drive continuous improvement. You will be responsible for guiding safety processes, coaching teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key duties include investigating incidents, conducting audits, and maintaining accurate records in safety databases. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish and the ability to work third shift to support plant operations.

Qualifications

• At least three years of directly related experience in an industrial environment.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field of study.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Investigate all near misses, first aid cases, recordables, lost day injuries, and vehicular accidents within 24 hours.
• Be visible in the processing plant and other site locations.
• Conduct periodic safety and health audits and track findings to ensure closure.
• Enter information into accident, training completion and corrective action databases accurately.
• Provide training support and ensure monthly training is completed.
• Position is on third shift.
