Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Production Superintendent to direct production supervisors on a single shift, ensuring cost-effective, on-time manufacturing of quality products. The role requires strong leadership, a focus on safety, and collaboration across plant functions to meet output targets and quality standards.

The position emphasizes 2nd shift availability, with a base salary highlighted and a discretionary bonus plan.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience.
• 3-5 years of supervisory training experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations.
• Strong diplomacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs production operations and personnel to meet quality and cost targets.
• Establishes shift schedules, material requisition, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinates with plant functions to support output, productivity, and quality.
• Selects and motivates labor to meet schedules at optimum productivity and cost.
• Recommends improvements in production flow or methods.
• Ensures use of methods to eliminate problems and improve quality.
• Counsels supervisors on performance and efficiency.
• Recommends machine/equipment modifications to improve production.
