Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory training experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations.
• Strong diplomacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct production operations and personnel to meet established production and quality control standards, control budget and costs, and provide data regarding products.
• Establish short-term activities directed toward production continuity and balance such as shift schedules and material requisitions.
• Coordinate with other plant function areas to support output, productivity and quality.
• Select, train, and motivate production labor to meet schedules at optimal productivity and cost.
• Recommend improvements in production flow or methods.
• Ensure effective use of operating methods to eliminate problems and improve quality.
• Recommend modifications of machines/equipment to improve production and quality.
