Job summary

Amrize is seeking a 3rd Shift Plant Mechanic to support our Rockville Quarry in Rockville, MD. The role maintains, services, repairs, and installs plant machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, typically 10:00pm–7:00am shifts.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of heavy industrial equipment experience, knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, and a strong commitment to safety and MSHA regulations. Training in quarry equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, motors, gearboxes.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Commitment to MSHA safety regulations and practices.
• Able to work 3rd shift and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and coordinate with maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoot and repair crushing, conveying, and screening equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures.
• Inspect equipment and plan planned shutdowns to maximize productivity.
• Maintain maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA safety and environmental standards.
• Promote a culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility.
