Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Utility Operator to support our Rockville, MD quarry, ensuring safe and efficient daily operations.

Operate heavy equipment (wheel loaders, dozers), perform inspections, and assist with maintenance while following all PPE and safety procedures. This hands-on role requires stamina and teamwork with maintenance and production crews, with varying shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in industrial/recycling settings.
• Experience with wheel loaders and dozers preferred.
• Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Strong safety record and ability to work outdoors in a quarry environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders and dozers to support quarry production and material handling.
• Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections and report issues.
• Assist with general quarry labor and site maintenance tasks.
• Use hand and power tools for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with electrical tasks and minor troubleshooting under supervision.
• Work with maintenance team to service crushers, conveyors, and screens.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas and follow PPE protocols.
