Amrize is seeking a 2nd Shift Utility Operator for our Rockville, MD quarry. You will operate wheel loaders and other heavy equipment to support production, perform inspections, and assist with maintenance in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial or recycling environment.
• Hands-on experience with wheel loaders and dozers.
• Experience in quarry or similar industrial settings.
• Strong safety and routine inspections ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to support quarry production and material handling.
• Load, move, and transport aggregate materials safely.
• Maintain stockpiles and quarry surfaces using dozers.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues.
• Assist with general quarry labor and site maintenance.
• Use hand and power tools for maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with electrical tasks under supervision.
• Support maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, and other equipment.
• Monitor for unusual noises, leaks, and vibrations.
• Ensure safety policies and PPE compliance.
