Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Lead Shift Maintenance Mechanic for our Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. The role focuses on installing and assembling new machinery, implementing a preventative maintenance schedule, and coordinating downtime to maximize plant uptime.

You will lead a maintenance team, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and ensure compliance with MSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy industrial equipment (aggregates/mining).
• Leadership experience supervising a maintenance team and promoting safety.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems; good diagnostic skills.
• Experience maintaining crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, motors, gearboxes and other equipment.
• Welding, fabrication, and equipment rebuilding know-how; MSHA regulations familiarity.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to work flexible hours and handle physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance activities and assign work while ensuring safety and on-time repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on quarry equipment and heavy mobile equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures to minimize downtime.
• Inspect plant equipment and proactively identify issues before failures occur.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule shutdowns for productivity.
• Maintain maintenance records, parts inventory, and tool care.
• Promote health, safety and environmental compliance.
