Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Lead Shift Maintenance Mechanic for the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. The role focuses on installing and assembling new equipment, maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule and keeping machinery running to meet production goals.

You will lead maintenance staff, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, and ensure MSHA safety compliance while coordinating with operations for plant uptime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment.
• Proven leadership experience supervising a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
• Experience with crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps and gearboxes.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication and equipment rebuilding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct daily maintenance activities, assigning work to technicians and ensuring repairs are safe and timely.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair quarry equipment and heavy mobile machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Inspect plant equipment and identify issues before failures occur.
• Coordinate with operations to prioritize work and plan shutdowns.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders and parts inventory.
• Ensure MSHA safety compliance and environmental standards.
• Train and mentor team members to improve skills and safety.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
