Job summary

KingRecruitingServices in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The shift is 3rd shift, 8:30pm–7:00am, 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends. Projected duration is 3 months with potential for perm. Minimum 3+ years of phlebotomy experience is required.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, troubleshooting workflows, and adherence to OSHA regulations. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and validates correct labeling and requisitions.
Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients; demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures to maintain specimen integrity.
Attend required department trainings and comply with OSHA regulations.
