Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3rd shift contract position (8:30pm–7:00am, 10-hour shifts) with potential for permanent placement.

3+ years of phlebotomy experience and a state phlebotomy certification are required. The main duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and data entry, with attention to labeling accuracy and transport procedures. Candidates will comply with OSHA regulations and participate in department trainings.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and guides patient information.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperature control.
