Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontamination.
• Collect and store specimens according to procedures; update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
• Assist with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results when inquiries arise.
