Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Pharmacy Distribution Centre is seeking a motivated individual for the night shift warehouse team. You will work in a fast-paced, highly automated environment to support procurement, storage and distribution of medicines and vaccines across hospitals, clinics and community settings.

You will join a large team, with focus on safety, accuracy and quality in all stock handling and distribution activities, including GDP and FMD compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three Standard Grades (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
• Commitment to undertaking SVQ qualifications.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Experience of training staff.
• Experience of supervising staff.
• Experience of working within a healthcare or similar environment.
• Experience of stock management.
• Strong emphasis on quality, safety and accuracy in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Support seamless and compliant pharmaceutical supply within NHSGGC procedures.
• Electronic receipting and processing of medicinal products.
• Maintain accurate stock records and storage of goods.
• Assist automated and manual distribution processes; replenish stock.
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks).
• Contribute to GDP, FMD, safety standards and SOPs.
• Ensure product integrity and high-quality service across the region.
