Upstate Medical University is seeking a Night Shift Manager to oversee and manage delivery processes during the Night Shift in Central Distribution. The role includes creating staffing schedules, supervising staff, and implementing training for the distribution department.
The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree and at least 3 years of distribution experience in a healthcare setting, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
The Night Shift Manager plans, coordinates, and manages all scheduled and unscheduled delivery processes to all patient care areas during Central Distributions Night Shift. Creates staffing schedule to assure timely execution of scope of services. Makes specific shift assignments on nightly basis and resolves staffing coverage issues.
Associates degree in business, health care or related field and 3 years distribution experience (preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting) or equivalent combination of education and experience plus excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required. Prior supervisory experience required.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift 35 pounds to shoulder height.
11:00 pm - 7:30 am, weekends and holidays as needed
