UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech III to support the Emergency Department with night shift coverage across a 32-hour schedule. You will assist nurses, monitor patients, and perform essential clinical tasks under licensed supervision, contributing to safe, high-quality patient care.

The role requires PCT II experience or EMT/paramedic background, BLS certification, and strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualificações

• High school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• PCT II level or 1 year of acute care/hospital experience or EMT/Paramedic experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills to gather information and support care.
• Must stay calm under stress or in emergency situations.

Responsabilidades

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes in patients.
• Maintains patient safety and de-escalation as directed.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Performs vital signs, measurements and basic assessments.
• Assists in patient care procedures and prepares equipment as needed.
• Supports unit activities and documentation.
