Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA or completion of the IU Health PCA education program.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living for patients and assist with mobility.
• Observe patients and report abnormalities or behavioral changes to the RN or charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, drinks, and ordering; support hygiene and comfort needs.
• Maintain safe patient environments using gait belts, alarms, and close proximity during movement.
