Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Requires knowledge of age-appropriate care.
• Requires up-to-date knowledge of patient care procedures and standards.
• Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Requires concentration amid frequent interruptions and noise.

Responsibilities

• Provide drinks, assist with meal ordering, encourage walking, assist with baths, and change linens.
• Provide clinical assistance to the bedside RN by obtaining vital signs and reporting changes.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts, bed and chair alarms, and staying within arm's reach.
• Deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Support patients to ensure a meaningful patient experience.
