Job summary

Indiana University Health System in Indiana is seeking a Part-Time Day Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside care, assisting with meals, mobility, baths, linen changes, and creating a comfortable patient experience.

You will obtain vital signs, report changes to the RN, and use gait belts and alarms to keep patients safe. A current BLS certification is required; development opportunities and tuition reimbursement are available.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or obtained during IU Health PCA education program.
• Knowledge of patient care appropriate to age and development.
• Ability to read and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Provide drinks and assist with meal ordering.
• Encourage walking and mobility.
• Assist with baths and personal hygiene.
• Provide clean linens and gowns.
• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to RN.
• Maintain safety with gait belts and bed/chair alarms.
