Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for night shift, full-time work in an acute care setting. The PCT will support nursing staff by performing delegated basic patient care, collecting vital signs, and aiding with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision.

The role requires basic patient care knowledge, strong organization, and effective communication within the care team. BCLS within 90 days is required; CNA or CPCT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in acute care preferred.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required or expected.
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Record vital signs and other data; report to RN/LPN/LVN as directed.
• Help with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility activities for patients.
• Position patients, assist with ambulation and use mobility aids as needed.
• Collect specimens and monitor glucose; document results for the care team.
• Maintain infection control practices and comply with safety protocols.
