Job summary

Physicians Regional Healthcare System is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team. The PCT will assist with activities of daily living, help maintain a clean, safe care environment, and support the nursing staff under RN or LPN supervision.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of acute care experience or are currently enrolled in a nursing program. BCLS certification is required within 90 days; CNA or CPCT credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of acute care experience or nursing program enrollment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care and maintain a safe environment.
• Collect and record vital signs and report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, grooming, bathing, and activities of daily living.
• Assist with patient positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick blood glucose monitoring; document results.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team.
