Community Health Systems seeks a Patient Care Technician for the full-time night shift in Knoxville, TN. The PCT will provide patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision, assist with activities of daily living, and maintain a safe, organized care environment.

The role involves vital signs collection, meal and hygiene assistance, mobility support, and basic monitoring tasks while ensuring precise communication within the healthcare team. CNA preferred, BCLS required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records vital signs and meal intake, reporting results to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assists with feeding, bathing, grooming, and hygiene; changes linens and supports mobility.
• Positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids; ensure patient comfort.
• Collects urine/stool samples and performs finger-stick glucose monitoring; document results.
