Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician for part-time, night shift in an acute care setting. The PCT will support nursing staff in delivering patient care, collect vital signs, and assist with activities of daily living under RN/LPN/LVN supervision.

The role requires basic patient care knowledge, strong communication, and adherence to safety protocols, including PPE usage. CNA or CPCT certification is preferred, and BCLS is expected within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of PPE and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Collect and record vital signs and report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, mobility, catheter care, and daily activities.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and follow instructions.
