Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for the night shift. The role supports the nursing team, assists with daily living activities, monitors patients, and documents changes in status. You will help with vital signs, basic procedures, and may perform phlebotomy where certified.

Required: high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA program or RN fundamentals, and BLS. Phlebotomy training for ED positions is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCT, CNA, or RN fundamentals course or 1 year direct patient care experience.
• BLS certification is required.
• Phlebotomy training/education may be required for ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
• Take vital signs, perform point-of-care testing and basic procedures as directed.
• Support patient education and safety for patients and families.
• Participate in department initiatives and new-hire orientation.
