Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring a part-time patient care aide to assist with daily living activities under the supervision of RNs/LPNs. You will help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role includes phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs, and other tasks as directed. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and MST coursework, plus BLS and phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required. MST course completed.
• BLS certification. Phlebotomy certification. Maintains regulatory and departmental competencies.

Responsibilities

• Supports activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, mobility and transport.
• Performs phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, bladder scanning, catheter care as applicable and documents.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient status to RN/LPN and responds appropriately.
• Reinforces education of patient and family regarding care needs and safety issues.
• Participates in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and goals; assists in orientation of new hires.
