Job summary

Virtua Health in South New Jersey is seeking a compassionate phlebotomy technician to support patient care and perform phlebotomy and EKG duties as needed. Under RN/LPN supervision, you will assist with daily living activities and participate in clinical procedures.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a PCT or CNA program (or equivalent) and BLS certification. Prior phlebotomy experience and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• PCT/CNA or RN fundamentals training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Take and document vital signs and prepare specimens.
• Maintain infection control and standard precautions.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
