Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy/Patient Care Technician to support the care team during the 2nd shift. Under RN/LPN supervision, you assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, and patient safety while maintaining high professional standards.

This role requires phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification; ED positions require phlebotomy training. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 403(b), PTO, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Basic patient care skills and standards.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Demonstrates standard precautions and safe patient practices.
• Performs vital signs, point of care testing, and iology-specific tasks.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Documents changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Reinforces patient/family education and participates in quality initiatives.

Education
