Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for the night shift. You will assist with activities of daily living, support the care team, and help ensure patient safety. Eligible for phlebotomy and EKG duties if certified, with opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and completion of a PCT course or CNA-related program, or equivalent patient care experience. BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living and plan of care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Communicates with healthcare team, patients, and families; supports patient safety and comfort.
• Performs phlebotomy and EKGs if certified; records vital signs and care notes.
• Reinforces patient education and participates in satisfaction initiatives.
• Supports orientation of new hires and participates in PI activities.
