Job summary

Virtua Marlton is looking for a Patient Care Technician to support daily living activities and assist with plan of care under RN/LPN supervision. You will communicate with patients, families and the healthcare team, maintaining high professional ethics.

On-site, full-time, 3rd shift, 36 hours per week. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and completion of a PCT/CNA program, with BLS certification; phlebotomy training is required for ED positions, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a PCT course or CNA program or RN program fundamentals nursing course is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Phlebotomy training/education is required for Emergency Department positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, mobility).
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, Foley care; may perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety.
• Support Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and improvement activities.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
