IU Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to provide bedside care and support the patient care team. Duties include assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, and linen changes, while maintaining safety and a compassionate bedside manner.

Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting patient changes to the RN, observing for safety concerns, and ensuring a clean, orderly patient environment. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of patient care appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients.
• Ability to read and perform basic math.

Responsabilités

• Provide activities of daily living and mobility assistance for patients.
• Assist with bathing, meals, and linen changes.
• Observe patients and report changes to the RN or charge nurse.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts and alarms while staying within reach.
