IU Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide compassionate bedside care, assist with daily living activities, meals, walking, baths, and linens. The PCA supports the bedside RN, obtains vital signs, and reports any changes to the RN or charge nurse.

Formación

• Requires current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or attainment at the completion of the IU Health PCA education program.
• Requires knowledge of care appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patients served.
• Requires up-to-date knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
• Requires proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.
• Requires ability to maintain concentration with interruptions and variable noise levels.

Responsabilidades

• Provide activities of daily living, mobility assistance, and basic patient care.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and comfort measures.
• Monitor patients and report abnormalities to RN or charge nurse.
• Maintain clean, safe patient surroundings and hygiene.
