Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Palos Heights, IL, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic nursing care under RN supervision, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with ADLs. A CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with clinical completed and BLS are required; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing student with one semester completed.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN and monitors vital signs.
• Assists patients with bathing, grooming, and eating (ADLs).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Demonstrates flexibility and multi-tasking under pressure.
