Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff on a 3 shift schedule (three 12-hour shifts, 7p–7:30a) with every other weekend and rotating holidays. The role involves basic patient care, vital signs, and daily living assistance within the care unit.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, certification as CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with one semester, and BLS. Phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be certified as CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsabilidades

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Monitors vital signs and records intake and output.
• Assists patients with personal care and daily living activities.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Prioritizes unit work and communicates with staff and families.
• Acts as liaison between patient care units and other departments.
• Answers calls and notifies appropriate staff.
