Job summary

Endeavor Health's Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Tech for the 11:00 pm–7:30 am shift, 32 hours per week with rotating weekends. You will work under an RN to deliver patient care, perform vital signs, EKGs, hygiene, rounding and assist with discharge preparation.

Eligibility to work in the U.S. and current BLS certification required; CNA training or clinical rotation preferred.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S. and completion of an accredited CNA training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with Vital Signs, 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, bed transfers, ambulation, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, preparing patients for discharge.
• Assist with implementation of patient-specific care plans.
• Participate in activities essential to the functioning of the unit.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and high-quality patient experience.
