Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed or hold one of the listed nurse aide or medical support trainings.
• Must have Heartsaver CPR within 90 days of hire/placement.
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with fundamentals documentation.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Parkland's job-specific training program.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic hygiene care and unsterile treatments under RN direction.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to the health team.
• Record vital signs and nursing notes in patient records.
• Assist with ambulation, feeding, and mobility needs.
• Maintain sanitation, equipment safety, and supply management.
• Escort patients and coordinate translation when needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and adherence to policies.
• Pursue ongoing education and professional growth.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and advocate for patient rights.
