Job summary

Parkland Health in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for night shift in Med/Surg. The RN will coordinate patient care using the nursing process, assess patients, identify diagnoses, develop and implement individualized plans, and evaluate responses.

Requires Texas RN license, BLS, and 2 years acute care experience. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, interprofessional collaboration, and precepting staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Texas or a valid Compact license.
• Two years of nursing experience, preferably in acute care.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA/ARC/MMN.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Assess patients, identify nursing diagnoses, develop and implement a plan of care, evaluate outcomes.
• Delegate interventions to health care personnel per the Texas Nursing Practice Act.
• Provide patient-centered care and maintain documentation per Parkland/department standards.
• Serve as a resource, support patient advocacy, and participate in team education and training.
