Job summary

Parkland Health & Hospital System is seeking a dedicated aide to perform patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include hygiene care, vital signs, and assisting with mobility and feeding, while upholding patient-centered care and communication with families.

Applicants should have or be pursuing CNA/MA/PCT credentials, CPR certification within 90 days, and be prepared to participate in Parkland's training programs.

Qualifications

• Must have completed or be enrolled in a nursing-related program as listed.
• Must hold or be participating in a CNA/MA/PCT credential as outlined.
• CPR required (Heartsaver) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic hygiene care and routine treatments under RN supervision.
• Take vital signs and assist with mobility, feeding, and routine tasks.
• Advocate for patients and maintain confidentiality and compassion.
• Record patient activities and ensure accurate charting per policy.
• Support sanitation, safety, and equipment maintenance in patient areas.
• Assist with transport, translation when needed, and teamwork across departments.
• Identify process improvements and communicate changes to supervisors.
• Engage in ongoing education to meet department guidelines.
