Qualifications

• 2-3 years customer service or medical office experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing (40 wpm).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Responds to questions and concerns.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
• Provides exceptional customer service to patients and establishes a positive first impression.
• Executes accurate patient demographic collection and intake processes.
• Interacts with hospital departments to schedule and direct patients in NMHC systems.
• Performs medical necessity checks and informs patients of options if appointments fail.
• Communicates any issues with securing financial accounts and completes out-of-pocket estimations.
• Supports training and education as needed and handles schedule management.
