Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Part-Time Evening Patient Access Specialist to support patient registration and scheduling. The role requires strong customer service, data entry, and HIPAA awareness, with hours 4:00pm–12:30am on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting patients, verifying information, coordinating with departments, and ensuring accurate eligibility checks for scheduled services.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years customer service or medical office experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Customer service oriented.

• Performs medical necessity checks as necessary for scheduled services.
