Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Good knowledge of insurance processes, order transcription experience, and strong people skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter all demographic and insurance information for ED registrations in Epic.
• Collect patient payments at point of service and explain self-pay options.
• Verify insurance and correct errors in the system.
• Print armbands, labels, and necessary documents for admitted patients.
• Assist patients with Medicaid/financial assistance referrals as needed.
• Balance cash drawer and post payments to accounts at shift end.
• Greet patients and serve as the first point of contact at hospital entrance.
• Maintain a neat, organized registration area and protect patient privacy.
