Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Lodi Hospital seeks a Patient Access Representative for the Emergency Department. You will assist patients from registration through insurance eligibility and co-pay collection, and you may self-screen and schedule services.

Be prepared for on-site training and evening/night shifts with weekend/holiday rotations. You will cross-train across patient access areas, serve as a Super User, and provide Epic access for registrations and payments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years customer-facing experience, or an Associate’s Degree with 1 year, or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Knowledge of medical terminology to understand physician orders or completion of course within one year.
• Basic PC software knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems.
• Ability to work confidently and efficiently in an emergency department setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration and obtain demographics, insurance eligibility and co-pay information.
• Crosstrain to staff all patient access areas such as front desk, admitting office, ED and cash register.
• Function as a Super User and train new caregivers.
• Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.
