Highpoint - Sumner Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle patient registrations, verify demographics and insurance, and collect payments at the point of service. The role requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient service.

Schedule: 4:30pm-3:00am, Thursday-Wednesday. The position supports department operations and reports to the Director or Manager of the Department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient demographic, insurance, and financial information for outpatient services and inpatient admissions.
• Verifies benefits and obtains authorizations as needed.
• Collects co-pays/deductibles at the point of service to expedite admitting process.
• Communicates professionally with patients and families; protects patient privacy.
